Since its launch in Asia Pacific during 2012, Outbrain has worked with leading brands Qantas, Singapore Tourism Board, Microsoft, Kmart, Intel and many others. Hyndman and Kundeus will work with established teams across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and India, to drive the growth of strategic partnerships and assist Outbrain’s premium brand partners to fully leverage its platform and drive ROI through content marketing. Their combined backgrounds in the Online Video and Television (TV) space will further support Outbrain’s efforts to help brands with video discovery.

In announcing the appointments, Ayal Steiner, Managing Director at Outbrain APAC, commented: “Outbrain intends to deepen its relationships with key brands and agencies in the region and help them to unlock opportunities in content discovery and execute APAC-wide content strategies.” He also added: “These are just two of several newly created roles with an APAC-wide remit, and we are delighted to welcome Fionn and Daniel to the Outbrain team as they help us to deliver more value to our brand customers.”

Hyndman brings to Outbrain over 20 years of experience in digital media, transformation and strategy, and in helping clients navigate and address the evolving opportunities across APAC. His most recent role was Partner at Asia Pacific Growth Management and investment arm. Prior to that, he spent many years in the digital advertising space, having launched and grown Asia’s largest digital performance business, dgmAsia. He currently sits on the board of Asia’s largest digital service provider APD (ASX:DIG). He will be based out of Outbrain’s Singapore office.

Stepping into the role in October, Hyndman says, “Outbrain is a pioneer and continues to be a leader in the Content Discovery space. I am delighted to join the organisation at this exciting time and look forward to growing the company’s regional footprint and really unlocking the power of its network and data as it continues to expand. With the digital world continuously evolving, the need to bring relevant content to audiences is critical and I believe that with its sophisticated technology and data insights, Outbrain is best positioned to achieve this.”

Kundeus, is an experienced digital and TV sales executive, and brings to Outbrain over 12 years of knowledge from across the media and advertising space, having previously worked at Network Ten, Seven Affiliate Sales and Nine Network Australia. His role will focus on leading the company’s efforts in bringing strategic content marketing to more brands across APAC. He will be based out of Outbrain’s Sydney office.

“Outbrain has built an impressive global network of premium brands and publishers and as content marketing continues to gain significant momentum, some of its recent and most impressive growth has come from this part of the world. I am therefore extremely excited to join the Outbrain team,” said Kundeus.
