Osher Gunsberg Gets Gig On Radio With SCA

Host of Ten’s successful reality love show The Bachelor and The Bachelorette Osher Gunsberg has found a new gig for the morning time, becoming part of Southern Cross Austereo’s brekkie show Stav and Abby in Brisbane.

Gunsberg hails from Brisbane and said he’s looking forward to being a regular on the radio.

“Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of joining Stav and Abby in the studio from time to time, and I’ve always left with the feeling that those two just have so much fun getting Brisbane ready for the day ahead,” he said. “I’m looking forward to being a part of the breakfast radio world every morning. On a personal note, to be asked to return to Hit105, the station where I started my career is a humbling and wonderful feeling.”

Hit105 Brisbane content director Adrian Brine said, “Osher will add a whole new conversation to the Hit105 breakfast show and closely connect this already fun and entertaining show with music and pop culture in a very unique way. I’m so happy for our Brisbane listeners.”

Stav Davidson is on-board for a different reason, “Very excited to have Osher join the show, he’s a great guy and it finally takes the pressure off me to be the ‘good looking one,” Davidson said.

Gunsberg is not the only familiar reality love show face to grace radio lately, with Sam Frost, Australia’s first Bachelorette joining Rove McMannus as the new brekkie team for 2DayFM, replacing Dan & Maz who were punted from the gig a few weeks ago.

SCA’s Guy Dobson has since admitted Dan & Maz didn’t work in that timeslot, and said the poor ratings the brekkie team were getting didn’t help the mediocre ratings Hamish & Andy were getting in Sydney in the drive slot.
