OMD Tops Leaderboard For New Media Wins, While Y&R Retains No. 1 Spot For Creative

Aussie agency new business results are in for the month of July and the incumbents have retained their number one spots. The Omnicom-owned OMD is the top media agency for new business wins, while WPPAUNZ-owned Y&R was the best creative agency for new wins.

The results are part of a monthly list compiled by technical financial firm R3.

OMD had a stellar month in July with new wins including Tabcorp, Frucor Beverage, Coles and Target. However, it did lose the BGC account according to the results. Carat retained second spot and GroupM also retained it’s third position on the ladder. The biggest improver on the media agencies table was Dentsu Media up 11 spots to sixth position.

In the creative space, Y&R continue its great run of wins with another top placing. For the month of July it secured the Bankwest Project, NSW Finance Project and NSW Premier And Cabinet Project media accounts. Ogilvy was second, TBWA third and an impressive fourth spot for BMF. There was no real surprises in the creative top 20 with most agencies retaining their position or moving up and down ever so slightly.
