Absolute Clanger! Kiwi Paper Mistakes Spike Lee For Stan In Botched Obituary

A New Zealand newspaper has published an article announcing the passing of comic legend Stan Lee, though the piece may have missed the subeditor.

Published in New Zealand’s Gisborne Herald, the article proclaims: ‘Spike Lee Dies At 95’.

Spike Lee, an American director, is of course, alive and well.

A photo of the mishap was posted to social media and has already gone viral.

The error has even been picked up by Spike Lee, who reposted the photo to his Instagram with the caption: “God Bless Stan Lee. Me? Not Yet. And Dat’s Da “I’m Still A Live, And Strivin'” Truth, Ruth. YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF.”
