NOVA Entertainment Launches Podcast For Brisbane Broncos

NOVA Entertainment has partnered with the Brisbane Broncos to produce an insightful new podcast that explores what happens behind the scenes of one of the most successful NRL clubs.

In the first partnership of this type, former Bronco great Jharal Yow Yeh (JYY) will host The Broncos Podcast, which is set to include exclusive interviews with players and the people behind-the-scenes who ensure the success of the club, in an effort to uncover what happens off the footy field.

The podcast will launch on Tuesday 6 March, prior to the first game of the NRL season, which will see the Broncos and Dragons go head-to-head on Thursday night.

Following its launch, a new episode will be released each week for the duration of the season.

Steele Tallon, general manager of communications and digital media at Brisbane Broncos, considers the podcast an innovative way to engage with the community.

“We are always looking for different ways to engage with our members and fans at the Brisbane Broncos, and podcasts are an increasingly popular platform that we have been really keen to move into as a club,” he said.

“NOVA Entertainment is a market leader in the podcast space, so there is no better partner for us to work with to produce some compelling content for our loyal ‘Bronxnation’.”

JYY will have exclusive access to the locker room and the players’ lives away from footy.

Some questions guaranteed to be covered include players’ thoughts on retirement, their superstitions, a day in the life of a Bronco, what superpower they want, who the best gamer is, what sport they like to play away from footy, and the secret nicknames they have for each other.

In the first episode, Sam Thaiday will reveal his number one priority after footy this year, JYY will look at what happens inside the new Broncos $27 million facility for the players and will discuss who got up to mischief during the players recent trip to PNG.

NOVA Entertainment’s head of podcasting and Brisbane general manager, Jay Walkerden, believes the podcast content will reach a connected audience.

“As one of the biggest sporting franchises in the country, The Broncos Podcast will give brands the chance to connect with a very engaged audience with content that you won’t find anywhere else,” he said.
