Nicole Comerford Heads Up Commercial Team At The Courier-Mail And The Sunday Mail

News Corp Australia’s general manager of sales – metro at The Courier-Mail and The Sunday Mail Kris Yule has announced the appointment of Nicole Comerford to the role of head of commercial partnerships – metro.

In this new role, Comerford will be responsible for News Corp Australia’s commercial partnership clients in Queensland, providing cross-platform advertising solutions that are custom built for each business.

“Delivering best-in-class service for our commercial partners is important to our business. Our new commercial partnerships team will deliver innovative, cross platform solutions to best meet our clients’ needs, harnessing advertising, editorial, marketing, circulation and data,” Yule said.

“Nicole’s wealth of experience in commercial partnerships, events and marketing will lead the metro advertising team and our commercial clients into future success.”

Comerford brings to the role a strong commercial, marketing and events background from the professional sporting and media industry. For the last five years Comerford has held the role of marketing manager – partnership and events for The Courier-Mail and The Sunday Mail.

Comerford was responsible for managing and growing The Courier-Mail and The Sunday Mail sponsorship portfolio and News Corp Australia’s largest community event – the annual Bridge to Brisbane charity run which now attracts over 30,000 participants a year.

Comerford said, “The Courier Mail and The Sunday Mail are extremely strong brands in this market and I’m looking forward to working with Kris and the team on this innovative approach for our top clients.

Comerford reports to Yule and her new role was effective 1 December.
