News Corp Re-launches Mosman Daily & North Shore Times Mags As Prestige

News Corp Australia will today launch the brand new magazine-style Mosman Daily and North Shore Times into the News Prestige Network, with the tagline ‘Local life and luxury on your doorstep.’

The new mags will feature who’s buying and selling what, latest auction results, sneak peeks into beautiful homes, stylish home accessories and where to buy them, and interviews with north shore identities in their homes.

Additionally, a popular feature each week will be ‘Five of the Best’, where the Mosman Daily and North Shore Times unveil local gems and hidden secrets to explore, indulge in and experience.

The first edition of the new Mosman Daily will hit the streets today, featuring a more refined design to better align engaging and dynamic lifestyle content for Sydney’s affluent lower and upper north shores.

The Mosman Daily launch coincides with its 100-year anniversary. An event to celebrate the milestone will be held tonight, with local celebrities and politicians, including Tony Abbott, to be in attendance.

The North Shore Times will be officially re-launched by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Thursday 17 August.

Both launches will be accompanied by a six-week marketing investment across out of home, social media, press and sampling.

Special re-launch branding and advertising opportunities include front and back cover six-page, glossy gatefolds and an eight-page glossy gatefold in the centre spread of real estate.

Michael Wilkins, NSW managing director of News Corp Australia, said: “Following emma audience data analysis and demographic research conducted earlier this year, we gained a deeper understanding of the lifestyle needs, wants and desires of the upper and lower north shore demographics.

“Knowing where locals like to eat, where they prefer to shop, how they like to live, what they spend their money on and where they choose to travel informed our decision on what to present in their new and refined, glossy magazine-style newspapers.”

News Corp Australia’s prestige and lifestyle director, Nick Smith, said: “Our NewsLocal community mastheads such as the Mosman Daily, North Shore Times and the Wentworth Courier reach the most affluent audiences in Australia, and right at their doorstep.

“This is an incredible and integral offering of the newly-launched News Prestige Network, where we can now provide high reach of the right audience through digital, or we can effectively geo-target prestige audiences at a community or even street level.

“As part of the News Prestige Network, the Mosman Daily and North Shore Times provide fantastic cut-through for advertisers opening a new store, dealership or branch in an affluent area or can garner grassroots support for campaigns, be they retail or brand-focused.”

Kathy Lipari, editor-in-chief of NewsLocal, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing on board new lifestyle contributors, including celebrity landscape designer and co-host of Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia, Charlie Albone, and his wife, Australian stylist, interior designer and Lifestyle Channel host, Juliet Love.”

“In an expanded food and drink section, we’ll review all the local restaurants, pubs and bars and what’s on in the arts. We’ll cover stories on all the movers and shakers while celebrating everything wonderful about living in the upper and lower north shore.”
