10’s evergreen comedy Have You Been Paying Attention? returned last night to some impressive numbers for the network.

The comedy-current affairs show pulled 787,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Still, it wasn’t enough to dent Lego Masters that pulled 1.075 million and has failed to go under a million since launch.

It was less good news for 10’s new 6pm game show Celebrity Name Game, the Grant Denyer-hosted quiz could muster just 314,000.

Lego handed Nine the night for audience share. The broadcaster took 28.1 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Seven was tantalisingly close with 27. 5 per cent, 10 did well with 20.4 per cent, the ABC had 17.7 per cent and SBS did 6.3 per cent.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise did 277,000 to Today’s 192,000.

Over at 10, this year’s series of MasterChef appears to be suffering the same syndrome as MKR did this year – a fatigued format up against more formidable programming. Matt, Gary and George managing only 615,000. The Project had 511,000 and 10 News First did 419,000.

Seven’s news was the most watched show of the night with 1.086 million. Home And Away did 699,000, House Rules had 669,000, The Chase pulled 657,000 and 9-1-1 did 446,000.

Lego aside, Nine’s highlights included its 6pm news (942,000), ACA (794,000) and Hot Seat (564,000).

The ABC’s night went thus: 7pm news (751,000), 7.30 (618,000), Australian Story (589,000), Media Watch (492,000), Four Corners (444,000) and Q&A (430,000).

SBS’ best was a repeat of Great American Railroad Journeys with 190,000.
