Monday TV Wrap: Ninja Warrior And Talkin’ About Your Generation Hit New Lows

Monday TV Wrap: Ninja Warrior And Talkin’ About Your Generation Hit New Lows

It’s rare a network wins the night but still wakes up with plenty of headaches the next morning.

But that’s probably what’s happening over at Nine today after Australian Ninja Warrior had its worst night ever and Talkin’ About Your Generation went into free-fall.

Ninja posted 831,000 and was lucky not to get beat by MasterChef with 830,000, while Talkin’ About Your Generation had its worst night ever, too, pulling a dismal 396,000. However, it should be noted Talkin’ About Your Generation was moved to a later 9pm timeslot.

All that aside, Nine still won Monday night with 29.1 per cent audience share. Seven ratcheted up 27.7 per cent, Ten had 20.2 per cent, the ABC 16.7 per cent and SBS posted 6.2 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.118 million. Nine’s news pulled 1.07 million and ACA had 855,000.

Over at Seven, House Rules pulled 768,000 and The Chase had 691,000. However, Seven wasn’t spared its very own calamity with viewers deserting First Dates in droves. The dating show couldn’t find much love with just 397,000 viewers.

MasterChef aside, Ten’s other performers were Have You Been Paying Attention? which had an off night with just 696,000. The Project had 559,000.

Best for the ABC was its 7pm news bulletin (795,000), 7.30 (647,000), Back Roads (619,000), Four Corners (530,000) and Media Watch (447,000).
