Monday TV Wrap: MKR Rises On Earlier Time Slot

The controversies and salacious nature of this year’s MAFS series is doing its ratings no harm whatsoever after it pulled its best numbers for the year last night.

According to OzTAM five city metro numbers, MAFS hit 1.29 million viewers last night.

Meanwhile, MKR, which had a half-an-hour earlier time slot, got a spike in its traffic, pulling 906,000. An increase of 65,000 on last Monday.

Nine won the night with 31.6 per cent of the audience share. Seven had 29.7 per cent, the ABC 17.1 per cent, 10 snared 16.3 per cent and SBS 5.4 per cent.

Other highlights for Seven include its 6pm news (993,000) and The Chase (562,000). However, Instant Hotel was disappointing, managing just 385,000.

Nine’s evening ran this way: 6pm news (933,000), A Current Affair (770,000), Murder Lies & Alibis (569,000), Hot Seat (432,000) and Serial Killer with Piers Morgan (225,000).

10’s best was I’m A Celeb… with 566,000, followed by The Project with 429,000 and 10 News First with 377,000.

The ABC’s Monday night of current affairs ran this way: 7pm news (697,000), Back Roads (582,000), Four Corners (544,000), Media Watch (541,000) and Q&A (365,000).

SBS’s best was a repeat of Spying On The Royals that pulled 171,000.
