Monday TV Wrap: Lego Masters Flambés MasterChef

Network 10 has seriously good shows. I’m A Celeb…, Dancing With The Stars and MasterChef to name but a few. Problem is, it appears Nine has better ones.

As MAFS trounced all-comers, Nine’s Lego Masters is now leaving everybody in its wake.

That was again on show last night, with Lego pulling 1.022 million viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers.

That left MasterChef with 607,000. Numbers that would’ve been unheard of in series past.

Seven’s House Rules fared a little better. It managed 640,000 and looks – as it has done in the past – to be a “grower”.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (270,000) beat Today (191,000).

Seven managed to sneak home and win the night with 28.8 per cent of Monday’s audience share. Nine was narrowly behind with 28.2 per cent, ABC was impressive with 20.1 per cent, 10 had to settle for 15.8 per cent and SBS did 7.1 per cent.

The ABC’s Q&A – featuring Bill Shorten – had one of its better nights in a long time, managing 481,000. Other highlights for Aunty included its 7pm news (751,000), Australian Story (642,000), Four Corners (581,000) and Media Watch (539,000).

Seven got home on the back of its 6pm news (1.082 million), Home And Away (679,000), The Chase (634,000) and 9-1-1 (462,000).

Lego aside, Nine’s other standouts were its 6pm news (987,000), ACA (810,000), Hot Seat (543,000) and 20 To One (459,000).

10’s other notables were 10 News First with 455,000 and The Project that did 429,000.

For SBS, its best was a repeat of Michael Moseley: Trust Me I’m A Doctor that pulled 181,000.
