MediaCom Melbourne has today announced the promotion of Mathew Anastasi (main picture), formerly content director in MediaCom’s specialist division MBA, to group business director.

An established member of MediaCom’s team Anastasi began his journey with the agency two years ago and has delivered exceptional work for clients, including CUB’s award winning True North; a content lead campaign in partnership with National Geographic created to raise awareness of GNBC as the perfect beer for any outdoor occasion with mates.

As part of Anastasi’s new remit as group business director, he will lead relationships with key clients including Fonterra and beyondblue and will assist in achieving their strategic goals.

Willie Pang, chief operations officer said, “Our business is experiencing a period of incredible growth and we have searched the globe for client leaders who are a unique mix of business strategist, communications expert and innovation specialists. I look forward to harnessing the collective brilliance within MediaCom to bring fresh thinking and solutions for our clients.”

Joining MediaCom as Anastasi’s successor Shane Jolley has been appointed as content director in MediaCom’s specialist division, MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA). Jolley brings with him a wealth of content experience to the agency having previously worked in mainstream television producing, in Ad Land for the likes of DDB and McCanns and having spent almost six years creating, formulating and producing Brand Funded TV solutions with the pioneers in this space – Igloo Media.  Jolley has also previously hosted and produced 2 seasons of Luxury Escapes for the Seven Network. As part of Jolley’s new remit he will work closely with Gemma Hunter, global executive creative director and head of MBA Australia.

In alignment with MediaCom’s positioning as The Content + Connections Agency, Jolley’s focus will be to develop and grow the content product and services offering for Melbourne based clients, ensuring that MBA are working as trusted advisors across content strategy, creative, production, partnerships and distribution.

Hunter said of Joley’s appointment, “Shane brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team. His proactive approach, deep client service ethic and problem-solving expertise will be a huge asset to our people and our clients”.

Jolley added, “I’m really excited to be a part of the MediaCom team, working on some of the best clients in market on ground-breaking campaigns alongside the MBA national team and other departments.
