MEC Adelaide has boosted its management structure as the agency continues to grow in this market.

From Monday July 20, Royce Zygarlicki will take on the role of MEC Adelaide managing director. Royce is a media executive with more than twenty years experience in the industry. He joins from Network TEN, where he was Adelaide general sales manager for the past four years. There, Royce built a strong cohesive team that delivered strategic multi-platform media proposals. Under his management, the Adelaide sales team won the 2014 Media I Sales Team of the Year.

MEC Australia CEO Peter Vogel said, “Royce has a history of generating new ideas and providing long term direction and vision along with the professional development of his staff. He will play an important role in continuing to grow our business and services in the Adelaide market.”

Matt Hofmeyer has been promoted to general manager of MEC Adelaide, as an acknowledgment of his outstanding work managing the SA Government media team at MEC and the recent retention of the Master Media account. “Matt has been with MEC for ten years and has worked on many of our agency’s largest clients. This is great recognition of the value that he has added to our agency,” said MEC Adelaide managing director Peter Bucklow.

After twenty five years working as media director at Young Rubicam and then managing director of MEC Adelaide, Peter Bucklow becomes non-executive chairman. Speaking to this move, Vogel said, “In this role Peter will ensure the smooth running of the business under its new management structure. Peter has done an outstanding job of growing MEC in Adelaide. I am pleased that he will continue to provide support and guidance to the agency as it moves into the future.

“We have a very talented team at MEC in Adelaide, and I am really excited and confident about our future growth prospects in South Australia under our new leadership structure,” Vogel added.
