Macquarie Media Launches Radio Show In Partnership With CarAdvice.Com

Macquarie Media today announced the launch of an innovative new national motoring program, “CarAdvice”, in partnership with CarAdvice.com.

The weekly program will be heard on Nights with Steve Price across Australia on
2GB Sydney, 3AW Melbourne, 4BC Brisbane, regional stations and will also be streamed online and via the station apps.

CarAdvice will air from 9pm Mondays and deliver the big news in motoring from across Australia and around the world. From new car launches, reviewing cars, comparing vehicles, great road trips, practical driving advice to buying and selling tips, plus listeners will be able to call in each week as part of the show and ask the car experts questions.

CarAdvice will be hosted by Macquarie Media’s Steve Price who has over 30 years’ experience as a journalist, and hosts the number one evening radio show in Sydney and Melbourne. He will be joined by CarAdvice associate publisher James Ward and Senior Road Tester Paul Maric, both seasoned motoring journalists with over 30 years’ combined industry experience.

Planning for the show commenced in the back half of 2015 when CarAdvice wanted to extend its online brand into a radio show. A weekly talkback segment featuring CarAdvice has been running on Thursday afternoons on 3AW since February this year and has proven a hit with listeners. Extending the segment to a longer format program with a national audience was a logical next step.

“Adding the CarAdvice radio show to our listener-driven programming made total sense for us. 92 per cent of Macquarie Media listeners already own one or more cars and they are 30 per cent more likely to purchase a new vehicle than the average adult*. The CarAdvice program is an exciting addition to our line up,” said Macquarie’s national sales director Mark Noakes.

CarAdvice CEO, Andrew Beecher said, “Our vision is to be the number one automotive media brand across all channels, so expanding into radio is a great way to put our content in front of even more consumers. Our goal in working with Macquarie Media is to ensure the CarAdvice radio show will be the largest and most influential automotive radio program in Australia.”

CarAdvice will debut on June 6 and will run every Monday evening across the Eastern States on the Macquarie Network.
