Lynx Brings Scent Of Xbox To Life With Clever New Product

Lynx Brings Scent Of Xbox To Life With Clever New Product

Do you associate video games with personal hygiene?

Didn’t think so.

But this could all soon change after Lynx released its new Xbox series of products.

The ‘Lynx Xbox’ collaboration gives a “fresh scent of pulsing green citrus” in the form of a shower gel, body spray and deodorant.

The new product line is exclusive to Australia.

Xbox AUNZ business group lead Tania Chee said the scent recognises the skills of gamers.

“We see Xbox fans achieve incredible things every day, and we wanted to celebrate that elevated skill, passion and determination by creating something truly special,” she said.

“Now, powering up can be as simple as a quick spray before you head out the door.”

But Xbox and Lynx have since come under fire for accentuating some of the social problems the gaming industry now faces.

Esquire editor Dom Nero labelled the collab “embarrassing”.

“The medium of gaming is already riddled with problems, from sexism, to xenophobia, to Nazi-adjacent YouTubers who have been heralded by the community as beloved mentors for kids,” he said in an op-ed.

“Gaming is never going to rise above shitty stereotypes with products like this.”
