Luscious Delivers Battle Of The Coral Sea Film For National Maritime Museum

Multimedia and film production company Luscious has produced an immersive cinema experience as a centrepiece of the Australian National Maritime Museum’s 75-year commemorations of the Battle of the Coral Sea.

Luscious wrote, designed and post-produced the seven-minute wide screen film, which documents the birth of the Australian-American alliance as the combined forces battled and successfully repelled the Japanese Empire’s plan to take Port Moresby.

The production employs a mix of archival film footage, photographs, graphics, graphic design, and photographic realistic CGI battle scene re-enactments.

The production premiered as part of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea commemorations aboard the USS Intrepid in New York.

American and Australian heads of state President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull attended along with heads of the armed forces from both countries and numerous dignitaries.

Luscious also recently extended its creative and production offering with designated 3D effect suites and resources, as well the capability to produce immersive VR experiences.
