CX agency Lavender is on the hunt for fresh talent to join its Genus Graduate Program, which has just launched for a 2016 intake.

From effervescent creatives to hard-core tech buffs and those with a passion for a well-made plan, Lavender is seeking ambitious and driven individuals to make their mark in the world of marketing and communications.

By definition, a ‘Genus’ houses multiple individual species. This is exactly how Lavender sees its grads – just like everyone at Lavender with their own unique quirks and peculiarities to add to the agency. Their unifying characteristic? A dedication to the customer.

To recruit the 2016 Genus Grads, Lavender has created a campaign driving interested candidates to the dedicated Genus Graduate Program website (with mobile and tablet versions) where they can watch a video outlining the benefits of the program and then apply online.

Successful candidates will be placed in a role that suits their strengths. This means they could end up copywriting, designing websites, creating apps, investigating data or liaising with clients.

As well as being assigned a mentor to guide them through everyday agency life and answer any questions that arise, graduates will be exposed to plenty of opportunities to learn, gain practical skills and get in amongst the agency action.

Tess Lavender, head of talent, said: “We’ve had great success with graduates we’ve brought on in previous years and we are committed to investing in talent to nurture and grow the industry leaders of the future. To that extent, we felt it was important to create our own program. We have made a significant investment in the Genus Graduate Program and we intend to grow it to a level that means graduates will aspire to join.”

Like all Lavender employees, Genus Grads will have access to Lavender Master Classes, led by internal and external industry experts, as well as industry courses paid for by the agency.

Applications close on 28 September and positions are on offer across account service digital, creative and production in both Lavender’s Sydney and Melbourne offices. Graduates till commence work in January 2016.
