“Put A Wing On It!” KFC Launches Poultry-Inspired Wedding Service

Fried chicken lovers looking to tie the knot are in luck, with KFC now offering wedding services exclusive to Australia.

The KFC weddings campaign, via Ogilvy Sydney, will see ceremonies held at restaurants around the country and will offer guests a KFC themed celebrant, a KFC photo booth, custom KFC buckets and musical entertainment to get the first dance kicked off in true style.

The catering will of course taken care of.

There are six KFC weddings to be won, which will be held between October 2019 and May 2020.

KFC Australia managing director Nikki Lawson, said: “KFC is all about living your best life and we were flattered that so many of our fans are showing that Aussie larrikin spirit by asking us to be a part of their big day.

“Over the years we’ve seen some amazing Facebook comments and have heard of some incredible proposals from fans taking place in our restaurants in Australia and around the world.

“Seeing these we thought bucket, let’s create a KFC Wedding service!  We think it’s important that this isn’t just a one-off affair and that as many of our fans have the chance to get a KFC Wedding – so we’re making this available for eight months as a genuine service for anyone living in Australia.”

KFC is encouraging people of all gender, sexual preference, religion or age to apply for a KFC wedding.

Applicants must write a 200-word piece on why they deserve a KFC wedding. Winners will be judged on their originality, creative merit and independent expression shared in the entry.
