Ketut Gets Married, But Not To Rhonda

Ketut and Rhonda, the couple who were spearheaded to international fame thanks to a campaign for insurance company AAMI, will unlikely be together again.

Mainly because news has surfaced the actor who played Ketut, Kadek Mahardika, has wedded his Aussie girlfriend Laura Jack in Bali.

Per the Sydney Morning Herald, Kadek is similar to his Ketut persona in the commercials.

“Oh what you saw on the commercials is exactly how he is as a person. His smile, everything. It’s just him,” said his new wife, Jack.

Rhonda and Ketut were an international success story from AAMI and the agency behind it, Ogilvy Melbourne.

The ads followed the story of the couple, including the ups and downs that faced the two when Rhonda was confronted by a former high-school jock, Trend Toogood.

However the tale ended happily with Rhonda revealing her never-ending love for Ketut.
