Karl Stefanovic Makes A Comeback With 2GB Spot

Karl Stefanovic’s break from mainstream media has come to an end as it’s been revealed he’s set to make a comeback with a spot on Steve Price’s 2GB radio show.

Announced over the weekend, Stefanovic will be making a regular Monday appearance as The Steve Price Show.

Stefanovic has been quiet over the last six months after he was unceremoniously dumped from his breakfast role on Today last December.

Now, the divisive presenter is set to make a comeback into the world of commercial media – at least on Mondays – but perhaps his return is a sign of more to come from Stefanovic.

Starting today, Stefanovic will join The Steve Price Show and an array of other regular contributors including Erin Molan (Wednesday), Deb Knight (Thursdays), Phil Gould (Fridays), Rita Panahi (daily), Mieke Buchan (daily).

Hosted by Price, the show will broadcast from 12-3pm on weekdays.

Price replaced Chris Smith as 2GB’s afternoon broadcaster in an effort to attract younger listeners.

Macquarie Media chief executive Adam Lang said: “We’ve seen how broad Steve Price’s appeal is – and now with The Steve Price Show to air from 12-3pm, a new audience can enjoy his down-to-earth style, from tradies on a worksite to parents doing the school pickup.

“We also know how tough it is so many businesses out there – and Steve has a track record of delivering terrific results for our clients.”
