Initiative Snags New Investment Director From MediaCom

Initiative Melbourne has announced the appointment of Simon Reid as the agency’s investment director. He is a 13-year media veteran and joins Initiative from Mediacom.

“Simon’s high level of professionalism and media insights makes him the perfect fit for us as our investment lead,” said Initiative Melbourne managing director Stephen Fisher. “With recent new business wins such as Simplot and Jemena, as well as expanding work for existing clients, Simon’s appetite for creative media solutions is inspiring and we’re looking forward to his contributions to the Melbourne team.”

Reid is formerly group investment director at Mediacom Melbourne where his clients included Specsavers, Cricket Australia, Fonterra, Australian Football League, Network Seven, Shell and Repco. He worked at Mediacom for nine years and was previously with Optimedia.

Initiative Australia CEO Lee Leggett said she was enthusiastic about Reid’s role. “Our Melbourne agency is a strong performer and we are matching this performance with top talent like Simon and recently appointed strategy director Lyndelle O’Keefe,” said Leggett.
