Hotwire Launches Global Energy, Environment & Sustainability Practice

global communications agency Hotwire has announced the launch of its energy, environment and sustainability practice.

Soft launched in July 2017 with a dedicated energy trends hub full of expert insights and content, the practice adds to Hotwire’s global portfolio of specialist practices and will provide a range of services delivered by an experienced team spanning its offices worldwide.

The practice launches in response to an increased demand from the energy sector for integrated communications. With competition and regulation increasing, more and more senior marketing leaders are looking to communications to take ownership of the story and to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Hotwire is bringing a depth of experience with past clients including Kokam, Bridgelux and Low Carbon and current global clients including Eaton, Cupertino Electric, AutoGrid and Trane.

Commenting on the new practice, chief development officer, Andy West said: “The emergence of new technologies is disrupting this sector. However, the barriers to moving to more sustainable energy grids and business models remain high because of complex regulation, investor uncertainty and shifting political landscapes. We can help any business create cut through in an increasingly noisy category and support them by raising awareness; demonstrating benefits; and ultimately in driving adoption and sales.”

Quentin Scott, marketing director at renewable energy investment company Low Carbon comments, “The Hotwire team have consistently produced excellent results and provided valuable counsel, support and strategic thinking to help us grow our business. Their passion and understanding of the energy and clean tech sector has helped us to successfully grow the Low Carbon story from its beginnings to an established and credible player in renewable energy investment. We are thrilled and unsurprised to see Hotwire formally launch its energy expertise and capability today.”

The global energy team includes specialists in strategic communications, messaging, PR, brand, design, social and public affairs. Hotwire’s sister public affairs agency, Political Intelligence, led by Nick Lansman, will play a prominent role in the new practice. The Political Intelligence team has a wealth of experience in the energy market and offers a range of services include strategy and campaign planning, as well as lobbying and stakeholder mapping.
