Brooklyn Hipsters Love Justin Bieber According To Spotify Outdoor Campaign

Hipsters in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighbourhood have some explaining to do, after a new Spotify outdoor advertising campaign has revealed Justin Bieber is the most played artist in the area.

Spotify has launched a massive outdoor campaign in the States reflecting the most popular tunes of 2015 in 10 specific neighbourhoods.

According to Spotify, Justin Bieber’s banger of a tune Sorry was more popular in Williamsburg’s ZIP code than any other part of the US. To celebrate the music streaming site is running a hand-painted mural ad on the corner of Kent and Metropolitan avenues that says:”Sorry, Not Sorry Williamsburg. Bieber’s hit trended highest in this zip code.”

Spotify’s chief marketing officer Seth Farbman said about the campaign “Now that Spotify has amassed more than 20 million paying subscribers and roughly 80 million free users, its listening data is starting to reveal some truths about local cultures.”

Still closeted Bieber fans in Brooklyn are probably a bit embarrassed.
