Hardie Grant Media Acquires Motion Content Studio, Sherpa

Hardie Grant Media has today announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in motion content studio, SHERPA.

As one of Australia’s leading content and publishing agencies, Hardie Grant Media has seen an opportunity to build on their expert editorial and storytelling skills and extend to rich media formats such as video.

The alignment between the companies was evident to managing director of Hardie Grant Media, Nick Hardie-Grant, who after working with SHERPA for over two years recognised the shared benefits and decided to make it a more permanent relationship.

“The growing scope of content marketing agencies means there’s a lot of opportunities out there to play a more important role in our clients’ marketing mix.

“Video has been the most obvious extension for us for a while now and we’re looking forward to working more closely with the SHERPA team.

We’re both committed to creating quality content that gets results, and culturally share a lot of characteristics too,” Hardie-Grant commented.

SHERPA MD Andrew Coyle commented, “Hardie Grant Media’s hunger to tell stories and be innovative in a crowded media landscape drew strong parallels with us – it’s never been more important to make emotive connections between brands and their audiences.

“SHERPA has always been agile, independent and gave our customers direct access to the best creative minds.

“Our partnership builds on this approach and opens up more opportunity globally.”

SHERPA will form part of the Hardie Grant Media group, with each business having headquarters in both Melbourne and Sydney.

This announcement follows recent news by Hardie Grant Media that they have launched a new PR and events agency, tide.pr.
