GroupM Appoints First Chief Technology & Transformation Officer

GroupM has appointed Cameron King as its first chief technology and transformation officer.

King (featured image) will lead the media group’s strategy on digital, technology, and data with functional oversight of GroupM’s proprietary technology businesses Xaxis, Plista and Finecast, and data platforms including [m]Platform.

He will also provide consultancy services to our clients on digital transformation, organisational change management and business optimisation activities.

Most recently King served as managing director of digital revenue at News Corp.

He spent 10 years at News Corp developing the digital advertising business, digital products and commercial strategy for one of Australia’s largest digital publishers.

King, who also served as chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia board until January, is a leading digital expert in Australia and highly regarded across the industry.

He will work alongside GroupM agencies MediaCom, Wavemaker, Mindshare, and Essence and sit on the GroupM Leadership team.
