#Denyer4Gold Gleeson Refuses To Leave The Project Set As Nine Spruiks Its Gold Logie Pick
Comedian Tom Gleeson is continuing his #Denyer4Gold campaign pushing for ex-Family Feud host Grant Denyer to take home the top Logies gong this Sunday.
Beginning his campaign trail with a visit to ABC News Breakfast yesterday morning, Gleeson then appeared on Network Ten’s The Project last night, though it didn’t exactly go to plan for the show’s hosts.

After being brought on to plug his #Denyer4Gold campaign, Gleeson refused to leave the panel, even after hosts Carrie Bickmore and Peter Helliar awkwardly pleaded with him.
We chat HARD to @nonstoptom about the #Denyer4Gold campaign and he also sort of advocates for #TheProjectTV to win too! So, get voting and make Tom’s dreams come true: https://t.co/Ux0BMng0oE pic.twitter.com/UKmzxsF85d

Much to the confusion of Bickmore, Helliar and the other hosts, Gleeson remained in his seat until the end of the program, spontaneously sitting in on the next segment featuring Aussie band The Reubens.

Gleeson decided to back Denyer while interviewing the TV personality and radio host on his Hard Chat program on Tuesday.
As for his reasoning, Gleeson said, “The Gold Logie is supposed to go to the most popular person on TV. Your show was axed due to low ratings, on the third highest-rating network.”
“Let’s get an axed show to win the Gold Logie.”
“Cause the Logies are an absolute joke.”
Adding fuel to the strange Gold Logie fire, Channel Nine is also upping the ante on its Tracy Grimshaw campaign, with sources claiming the network is pushing hard for her to win following the loss of Lisa Wilkinson last October.
The tagline “Help Tracy Grimshaw win the Gold Logie” has been splashed across Nine’s platforms, accompanied by the hashtag #TracyForGold.
In the process of championing Grimshaw, Nine has completely forgotten to spruik two other Nine stars nominated for the Gold Logie, actors Jessica Marais and Rodger Corser.
An industry insider has said of the Grimshaw campaign, “If it fails, it would be extremely embarrassing.
“If the use of all of their platforms could not secure the Gold for Tracy, they will be questioning their reach.”
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, the insider said, “There was a lot in place to get Lisa the Gold. When she unexpectedly diverted over to Ten, the attention went to Tracy.”
According to the Tele, Nine has gone so far as to use her name as a codeword for viewers to win cash.
