Profit-for-purpose company, Mable, has engaged independent corporate and consumer PR agency, DEC PR, to lead all public relations activity for the online platform.
The appointment follows the expansion of the business, which enables people with disability and older Australians to connect with independent support workers across the country.
It also follows the addition of three new executives to the tech-based support company in the past 12 months.
Rachel Debeck joined as chief operating officer from BCG Digital Ventures, Scott Savage joined as chief product and technology officer from Google, and Emma Howe joined as chief marketing officer from RB Health.
Howe said: “We were looking for a PR agency with experience in strategic corporate and consumer communications alongside the ability to develop creative campaigns that cut through the noise.
“Having seen the high calibre of DEC PR’s capabilities, the decision to introduce and appoint DEC PR as Mable’s communication representatives was an easy one, made even more so by their experience in the healthcare industry and hunger to work toward a more inclusive nation for older Australians and people with disability.
“With the NDIS rolling out across the country and more older Australians wishing to stay home for longer, it is a crucial time for Mable and our users. We are excited to have DEC PR on board to help us share the many wonderful stories from within our community, and to let more Australians know about how Mable is revolutionising access to care and support, ” added Howe.
Founded in 2014, Mable’s mission is to enable people with disability and older Australians to live the life they choose by changing the way community support is delivered across the country.
The company operates across Australia and has connected thousands of individuals with the independent support team members they need, facilitated more than 1 million hours of support to-date and has approximately 4,200 approved and active independent workers on its platform.
DEC PR group client director Aideen McDonald said: “Working with Mable has already proved to be a rewarding experience, with the team energised to drive better conversation around inclusivity and independent choice for older Australians and those with disability.
“Our focus is to drive platform awareness for Mable as the conduit between independent support workers and those seeking support, through creative and corporate communications informed by Mable’s clients and our own Agency experience across a range of sectors such as healthcare, lifestyle, Government and technology.”
The addition of Mable to their client list solidifies DEC PR as a true player in the healthcare space with clients such as the Heart Research Institute, Nurofen, Durex, Scholl, rt Health Fund, and more.
