Medallia Names Gavin Selkirk As VP Of APAC

Customer Experience Management Business Medallia has appointed Gavin Selkirk as the new area vice president and general manager of Medallia’s operations in the Asia-Pacific.

Following eight years as a Lieutenant in the Australian Navy, Selkirk (featured image) has spent the past 25 years in the IT industry helping multinational companies grow and expand in Asia and will lead Medallia’s accelerated growth in a region known for high brand standards and experience.

Selkirk, who will be based in Sydney, has a diverse set of experiences ranging from being the first employee in Asia for a European-based software company to operating as CEO for ASEAN with systems integration company Fujitsu.

He has traversed multiple market segments including complex analytics solutions with SAS, cloud-based solutions at IT management business BMC, to selling Salesforce.com solutions as a partner at Fujitsu.

Selkirk was most recently president of Asia Pacific and Japan for BMC.

Selkirk will provide Medallia with rich industry knowledge to apply to its regional operation, go-to-market strategy and execution.
