CSR’s Greg Barnes Appointed Nine Entertainment’s New CFO

Nine Entertainment has lured Greg Barnes away from concrete and building supply firm CSR to be its new chief financial officer following the departure of Simon Kelly in February.

Barnes will take up the position in July and report to Nine CEO Hugh Marks.

In a statement to media this morning, Marks said:  “I am delighted to appoint Greg to the role of CFO. His extensive financial and public market experience will prove invaluable to us through this period of industry evolution. As we move to take advantage of opportunities that lie ahead in the media sector, his broad sectoral experience will prove a valuable addition to the senior management team.”

Barnes added: “I’m thrilled to be joining NEC and to working with Hugh and the team. NEC has a great history, strong market positions and is well placed to play a leading role in a pivotal time for the industry.”
