Creative team appointed for NEXUS Smart Hub

Nexus Smart Hub, a ‘Smart Work Hub’ facility at North Wyong has appointed Hicks Advertising and Pursuit Communications.

Central Coast based advertising agency Hicks Advertising has been appointed to execute NEXUS Smart Hub’s advertising creative and planning campaigns.

Pursuit Communications will carry out their public relations, social media and event coordination in the lead up to their October launch.

The NEXUS Smart Hub, which has been funded by State Government under the Smart Work Hubs Pilot Program, will provide an alternative place of work to the home office for employees who wish to work from the Central Coast and reduce the amount of time they are commuting to Sydney or Newcastle.

The hub will also benefit small and micro businesses in providing them with a collaboration space, hot desks, meeting rooms and super-fast internet speeds.

With this in mind, Hicks Advertising director Conan Hicks who commuted from the Central Coast to Sydney for 10 years used his experience in delivering their creative strategy for NEXUS Smart Hub.

“This project was close to my heart, after commuting for so long and then not having to, I was very keen to promote a product that removes the commute from peoples lives. Getting 4 hours a day back for myself and my family was like being on holiday every day…. Hence the headline “Imagine what you could do with an extra 4 hours today”

“We know that approximately 40,000 residents commute outside the Central Coast region each day for work and this can have significant impact on their work/life balance,” Hicks said.

“The campaign has to tap into the psyche of these commuters and what is most precious to them, which is time. Time gives these people the chance to be with their families and accomplish more with their jobs,” Hicks added.

CEO of NEXUS Smart Hub Damien Wilde chose Hicks Advertising after a competitive pitch because “when they pitched their creative approach we could see that they were able to distil the value proposition perfectly and could execute a consistent and powerful campaign”.

The campaign will be rolled out across a multitude of mediums, both above and below the line.

Public relations strategy will focus on community engagement through social media and targeted media activities.

Social media for NEXUS Smart Hub will focus on a number of channels including Facebook and Twitter and Pursuit Communications managing the soft launch event in July and coordinating the major event in October.

More details regarding the development of the NEXUS Smart Hub, will be provided in the coming weeks.
