WiTH Collective CCO Jumps Ship To Facebook

Former WiTH Collective, Droga5, Havas, AMV BBDO and Leo Burnett creative Steve Coll has left agency life to join Facebook as head of its creative shop.

Coll joins Facebook after four years at WiTH Collective as creative partner.

Facebook Australia managing director lauded the appointment.

“We couldn’t be more excited that someone of Steve’s calibre is joining Facebook,” said Easton.

“He is a key contributor to the wider industry and has an infectious enthusiasm about how technology and creativity can co-exist to deliver meaningful outcomes.

“With the pace and scale of innovation, there has never been a more important time for Facebook to collaborate with our creative community.”

Facebook had been advertising the role publically prior to the announcement, the company stating it was on the lookout for “a strategic leader who has demonstrated success leading a small team of professionals” with 15+ years of creative experience and an award-winning portfolio.

With 20+ Cannes Lions and a Black Pencil, Coll’s CV clearly impressed the social media giant.

Coll indicated his excitement to move away from agency world and into something different.

“It’s rare to get an opportunity to do something completely different at work,” he said.

“So naturally, after 20-plus years in creative agencies, including a wonderful four years at WiTH Collective, I’m incredibly excited to join Facebook. I can’t wait to start work with Will and the team.”

As well as his work across the agencies, Coll has also spent time on the board of ADMA.
