Chinese Version Of Star Wars Poster Shrinks Main Character

The poster for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster in China has received some ‘stylistic changes’; namely the picture of Finn, John Boyega’s character and one of the leads in the film, has been downsized significantly.

The poster makes other changes including the removal of Oscar Isaac’s character Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o character Maz Kanata, and Chewbacca have been removed entirely — but Finn’s shrinking is the most controversial.

This isn’t the first time Boyega’s role has been smacked down, when the first trailer for the film launched some racist Twitter trolls started the hashtag #BoycottStarWars because it was revealed Finn would be playing a Jedi and not a stormtrooper.
