CarsGuide Appoints New Social And Communities Head

Online auto marketplace Carsguide.com.au has announced the appointment of Mark Redshaw in the newly created role of social and communities manager.

Redshaw joins CarsGuide from Social@Ogilvy having worked on a range of consumer business and tech brands including KFC, British Airways and Telstra. Redshaw will work alongside Marketing Manager Glen Knowles.

The appointment comes after the company’s rebranding and business pivot last year, which positioned CarsGuide as a competitive challenger brand and consumer champion that reinvented the process of buying and selling cars online by offering a better user experience, greater transparency and fairer pricing.

Knowles said that he was excited to add Redshaw’s specialist digital insights and community management expertise to the expanding CarsGuide team.

“As we continue to expand we are looking to drive results through social and digital strategy. Mark has an understanding of turning complex problems into engaging solutions that deliver a great user experience.

“Mark has a great reputation for bringing daring campaigns to life for major national and international brands. We are excited to have him on board.”

Redshaw said he was eager to start working alongside the CarsGuide team to execute and deliver integrated social and digital campaigns.

“I wanted to work with CarsGuide as I believe in their philosophy and vision for disrupting the norm, they are true innovators in online car classifieds. I am really looking forward to collaboratively building a footprint for the company in new territories.”

Redshaw joins CarsGuide after a four year stint, where he worked as a digital analyst before moving across to digital strategist. Prior to that he worked as Sub-Editor and Researcher at IRD Group.
