Brilliant Aussie Work From Past And Present Crash The Super Bowl Competitions!

Needless to say, we’re all rooting for the epic piece of Australian work that made it into the final three of Doritos’ Crash the Super Bowl competition.

Peter Carstairs and his commercial Ultrasound is up against another two ads from the States for the grand title of being the one to Crash the Super Bowl and have their ad shown at the game that draws an almost insane amount of viewers.

While Carstairs said he hadn’t been holding his breath to make it to the final stage of the competition, he’s predictably beside himself with excitement.

It’s not the first time an Aussie has found themselves in the thick of the best, so in celebration of yet again being well in the running, we thought we’d take a look at some of the other pieces of brilliant Aussie work that’s made it into the finals and semi-finals of Crash the Super Bowl.

Man Child by Armand De Saint-Salvy

Who else has felt like chucking a little tanty when they don’t get their Doritos? Well, De Saint-Salvy epitomised that feeling into a very real 30 second spot that made it into the final three in 2015.

Finger Cleaner by Thomas Oaks

Another doozy to make it to the final three in 2014, Noakes piece is a hilarious take on the burning desire most have to get all the flavouring off their fingers.

Other brilliant Aussie Doritos’ Crash the Super Bowl spots over the past three years:

Sharing by Armand De Saint-Salvy

Another spot by De Saint-Salvy made it into the semi-finals of this year’s competition, where an elderly man fakes a heart attack to get mouth-to-mouth from a Doritos eating man.

Dorito Moth by Thomas Price

Moths made out of Doritos urge a wilderness tourist to take a crunch out of the flying critters in Price’s spot. This one made it into the semi-finals of this year’s comp.

The Fairy by Charles Ward

The ripped Doritos blasting fairy too nabbed a spot in the semi-finals for this year.

MEDITASTING BY LUKE SEER BROWN

It was the 2014 contest that made Seer Brown’s meditating and zen Dorito eater make the semi-finals.

GONE APE BY HUGH FLEMING

If you’re an ape, why wouldn’t you want that bag of Doritos the scientist is chowing down on? Fleming’s Gone Ape had the honour of being in the semi-finals for the 2014 competition.

Body cast by Casey Schweikert and Lewis Farrar

And strapped in a body cast is never fun, made even less fun by the little whippersnapper teasing you with Doritos. This spot from Scheweikert and Farrar made the semi-finals in 2013.
