BREAKING: Geoffrey Rush Wins $900K Defamation Case Against News Corp

acclaimed Australian actor Geoffrey Rush has won his defamation case against The Daily Telegraph over a series of reports accusing him of “inappropriate behaviour” with female acting colleagues.

In the Federal Court this afternoon, Justice Michael Wigney said The Telegraph had failed to establish a defence of truth to its claims and he was not satisfied the events occurred “as alleged”.

Damages have been specified at over $900,000. More to come…
