Brandalism Appoints Ex-Fairfax Marketing Exec As General Manager

Australian content marketing agency Brandalism has appointed Paris Touma as general manager following a series of high profile account wins, including Canon Middle East, Winc and Owndays.

“I am delighted to be joining the Brandalism team and look forward to the agency making its mark on the content marketing field globally,” commented Touma.

Touma was formally APAC marketing manager at TomTom, prior to working as marketing manager of Life Media and Audiences at Fairfax Media.

Since launching in 2014 with Tracy Fitzgerald at the helm (formerly a founding member of King Content), Brandalism has grown from strength to strength, including being listed in the AFR Fast 100 (2017).

This newly created role for the agency will see Touma tasked with further building and running the Brandalism team both in Australia and globally, as the agency begins to explore new markets such as the Middle East.

Brandalism managing director Tracy Fitzgerald said: “Making the move into the international market and expanding our client base is the next phase for Brandalism, and we are truly excited to partner with Canon Middle East, as the first of many global clients.

“Paris joins our team to help with this growth of the business, bringing not only extensive experience and knowledge of the marketing industry, but high-level strategic skills in content marketing.

“As Brandalism continues on its strong growth trajectory, we look forward to continuing to focus on building a solid senior leadership team,” said Fitzgerald.

Canon Middle East, Winc and Owndays will join a stable of high-profile clients including Bubs Australia, Real Madrid World of Football, Prospa, Soul Origin, Canon Middle East, James Hardie, Ticketek’s TEG Live, and Bank of Sydney

“As content marketing is cementing itself as part of the marketing mix in Australia, Brandalism stands for strategy, innovation and creativity for all of our clients.

“We are committed to educating current, prospective and future clients on all of the possibilities available and what can be achieved with a strong content marketing strategy leading them,” commented Touma.

“More and more of our clients are putting content strategy at the forefront of their wider marketing and communications strategies.

“Since opening our doors in 2014, our absolute focus has been to deliver results-driven strategies for our clients and as a result, we’ve had the opportunity to work with a series of wonderful Australian companies and household names.

“We are looking forward to continuing to work with our existing clients, as well as further building and growing the clients and brands that we work with,” concluded Fitzgerald.
