Bohemia Snares Wavemaker’s James Boardman For Strategy Director Role
James Boardman has been appointed National Strategy Director of media agency Bohemia.
Boardman moves across from GroupM agency Wavemaker.
He first joined MEC in 2011 before relocating to the agency’s Australian office three years later where he was soon promoted to lead the strategy team.
In 2016, MEC merged with GroupM agency Maxus to form Wavemaker and Boardman took on the role of national head of strategy for the combined entity.
Boardman’s track record includes pitch-winning work for Johnson & Johnson and Vodafone during his time in London, as well as leading the Wavemaker Australia team to land, among others, Nestle, NSW Government and Mitsubishi.
Additionally, he helped to secure the Vodafone account in New Zealand demonstrating the significant role he has played in building the MEC/Wavemaker strategic offer around the world.
In the past four years alone, he has helped to deliver business-growing, award-winning pieces of work locally for clients including Colgate-Palmolive, Nestle and Vodafone.
In his role at Bohemia, Boardman will lead the strategy team nationally to deliver best-in-class creative and media integration across the M&C Saatchi Group and with Bohemia’s other creative partners.
