Blue 449 Raises Close To $68,000 For Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation

Blue 449’s corporate social responsibility program, SPARK will be handing over a cheque for $67,864 to Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

SPARK has been building momentum quietly since its inception and this year.

This money will go towards the funding of much-needed equipment for the hospital.

Blue 449 MD Duncan Parfitt siad: “Blue 449 staff at all levels are engaged in using their initiatives to lead fundraising with innovation, creativity and enthusiasm and the team are clearly motivated by the impact they have through their fundraising efforts.

“The funds raised to give back to the hospital has been phenomenal.”

Yesterday a group from Blue 449 were invited to attend a day at the hospital as part of SCH’s 12 Days of Christmas.

This allowed them to see first-hand how their donations are positively affecting the children’s lives.

The program included a day of volunteering, interacting and taking part in activities with patients, staff and families.

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation head of partnerships Nicky Bowie said: “The support we receive from our 12 days of Christmas campaign from our Corporate partners is invaluable not just because of the funds raised which are spent on much needed critical equipment for the hospital, but also because of the joy the volunteer activity program brings to kids and families.

“By spreading festive cheer, Blue 449 are providing much-needed distraction fun and laughter to young patients and their families which is an essential part of the healing process.

“Thanks to Blue 449 and our other partners, we have raised over $250k this Christmas to improve health outcomes for sick and injured kids.”
