Big Mobile Launches Mobile Video Network

Independent mobile specialist, Big Mobile,  has launched Big Video, a premium-only mobile video network with private deals across seven leading Australian publishers, both mobile and tablet, including APN Australian Regional Media, and Southern Cross Austereo.

The new Big Video network includes over 150 sites and apps with four million monthly unique browsers (UB) and 100 million monthly impressions, across a compelling variety of formats.

Video advertising spend grew by over 75% in FY14 & video audiences & screen-time are skewing to mobile with 75% of smartphone users consuming video content.

Furthermore, Big Video campaigns can be optimised alongside Big Mobile’s premium mobile rich media and standard display audiences and ad solutions.

Graham Christie, chief commercial officer and partner at Big Mobile said: “Video on mobile and tablet is maturing incredibly quickly but it’s challenging to execute at scale with the quality assurances brands now seek. Additionally, advertisers are looking to boost impact across digital touch points, so with today’s announcement, in a market first, Big Mobile is able to link these two vital components of a digital buy together.

James Bayes from Southern Cross Austereo said: “We’re excited to evolve our partnership with Big Mobile beyond display through the Big Video Network. In 2015 we’ll continue to make a heavy investment in premium mobile content and video is a key part of that strategy.”
