Big Mobile Appoints Co-Founder As New CEO

Co-founder, Graham Christie has been appointed as Group CEO, one of a number of changes taking place following a successful and transformative FY15 for Big Mobile.

The company is making significant investments in technologies and people, bigger premises in Sydney and Singapore, regional expansion, and a restructure all focused to sustain the companies accelerated growth over the next three years.

Christie said, “With the Asia-Pacific region now the worlds biggest mobile advertising marketplace, and mobile’s share of all internet traffic now over 30 per cent, we need to calibrate the company to focus on the big growth generators, for us, that’s data leadership, restless product innovation, and new key appointments where it matters. The great news is, through our own success, we have the ability to invest in all these, plus launch a fourth APAC operation.”

The company is poised to announce a series of strategic partnerships over the coming months to fuel the growth. “With a business containing over 50 talented mobile specialists, we’ve reached a critical mass in both scale and capability, and we’re increasingly uniquely positioned, to add value to an expanding range of partners.”

In other people news, after six years at Big Mobile, Rob Hall is departing to found a new business venture. The move sees Andrew O’Shea appointed to the role of commercial director responsible for sales and partnerships across the group, and June Cheung being appointed as ANZ sales director.  Lastly, the changes see outgoing CEO David Green, and CFO Richard Leifer assume executive chairman, and executive director roles respectively.
