Bauer Media Appoints Emma Vidgen As Real Living Editor

Bauer Media has signed on Emma Vidgen to the role of editor of Real Living, taking the top job after working with the publisher for over 10 years.

Vidgen is currently the associate editor of Woman’s Day, as well as having previously worked as both lifestyle and entertainment editor for the title.

Vidgen has also worked on brands including Cosmopolitan, Dolly, and Famous.

Cornelia Schulze, publisher specialist division at Bauer Media said, “I am very excited about Emma taking on her new role as editor of Real Living. She has an extensive publishing career and brings with her a great passion for anything homes and a deep understanding for our readers’ needs.

“It’s also pleasing that she is an internal candidate, living proof of the breadth and depth of talent that we have within the Bauer business.”

Real Living was launched 11 years ago and is a multi-platform brand that includes magazine, digital, social and live experiences such as its School of Real Living series.

Speaking about her new role, Vidgen added, “I’m thrilled to be building on Real Living’s strong foundations to lead the brand into an exciting new chapter. I have a strong interest in all things interiors and Real Living is the perfect vehicle for me to satisfy that passion.”

Vidgen will start in the role on 15 August.
