DNA Magazine In Australian Publishing First

DNA magazine, read by one in three gay men in Australia, releases a special reader-made edition (on sale 26th June, 2014).

It’s Your DNA features 56 pages of readers’ stories, photography and art.

Founding Editor, Andrew Creagh says,

“The reader-made concept has been applied a couple of times in overseas magazines and I think it’s really exciting. It gives our readers a voice and helps us connect with them in a meaningful and direct way. I’m looking forward to their feedback.”

Over 50 submissions were received from DNA readers around the world. The stories cover topics including marriage equality, coming out, finding love, aging, violence, sexual hook-ups both good and bad, personal histories and the joys of pet ownership!

“This issue, our readers become our contributors,” says Creagh. “It’s been an exhilarating and surprising issue to edit.” Sex, drugs and dance floors are featured but, equally, so are accounts of gay life in domestic bliss away from the bright lights.

DNA’s much-loved regular columns are also featured including Common Mortals, Fitness, Manly Pursuits, Urban Homo and DNA Man.

Released in print and digital editions (via iPad and Kindle), ‘It’s Your DNA’ has contributions from all corners of the globe.
