Aussie Creatives Have A New Space To Create With Spaces Launch Down Under

International creative workspace offering, Spaces, has arrived in Australia with its first location launching in Melbourne’s media-hub, Richmond, followed by Sydney’s Surry Hills later on this year.

Pioneered in Amsterdam in 2006, Spaces heralds a new, creative and collaborative way of working for entrepreneurs and established businesses alike, particularly those working in the media, marketing and creative sectors.

The venue provides a lifestyle-driven professional working environment founded on principles of collaboration and inclusivity, while its authentic, considered design reflects the company’s ‘Inspire to Work’ philosophy.

The Australian launch marks a new phase of global expansion for the brand, with Melbourne selected as the first inter-continental base outside of its European roots, with a New York location to follow shortly afterwards.

Community developer at Spaces, Margot Van Der Poel, said: “Spaces delivers an inspiring, quality workplace platform, where Australian media professionals can network with like-minded people and make lasting connections. It offers a unique ‘creative community workspace’ that is relaxed and informal, while at the same time curating a productive and professional environment.

“With over 2,000 creative-industry businesses based in Richmond, this why we selected Melbourne as our next location after Amsterdam and London – even ahead of the New York venue.”

Spaces Melbourne will occupy a 1,093 square metre area and features state-of-the-art meeting rooms, private offices and beautifully designed and engineered co-working spaces. An in-house Café Deli will serve complimentary freshly ground coffee from local roastery, Where’s Marcel?, as well as healthy snacks from boutique suppliers. Monthly workshops, seminars and events are also offered for those who wish to embrace the community aspect of the brand.

Managing director at Spaces, Martijn Roordink, added: “People are far more productive and successful in an enjoyable, social and inspiring work environment. This is what Spaces offers.

“Spaces gives members the opportunity to take their careers into their own hands and our events enable them to get involved in the buzz of the Spaces way of life. While our staff take care of all the day-to-day logistics of the workplace, our members are free to connect and get creative.”
