Amber Harrison: Website Refuses To Remove Leaked Legal Documents

A US website that published leaked legal documents from Amber Harrison’s lawyers is refusing to remove them despite an Australian court order.

The San Francisco-based website Automattic Inc apparently has published two sensitive emails under the headline ‘BREAKING: Amber Harrison’s struggle with greedy lawyers’.

The emails are from Harrison’s former lawyers Harmers Workplace Lawyers – who she reportedly owes $330,000 – and suggest that Harrison should settle in her dispute with Seven West Media and former lover, Seven CEO Tim Worner, rather than fight it out in court.

Harrison is currently suing Seven West Media for bullying and failing to provide a safe workplace and her lawyers have said the emails are damaging to her case.

According to reports in Fairfax Media, Automattic said it would only remove the documents if ordered by a US judge.

At the Federal Court on Friday, a lawyer representing Harrison said: “They have indicated to us that they will not respond unless there is compliance with United States law, which essentially requires my client to take Your Honour’s order and authenticate it in the courts of California.”

Friday’s hearing comes a day after Harrison was supposed to have court-ordered mediation with Seven West Media over Fair Work matters she brought against them. However, it is unclear if such mediation went ahead.
