Amazon Pulls Out The Big Guns For Its Super Bowl Ad

Amazon has brought in the big guns for this year’s Super Bowl ad, featuring celebrities including Harrison Ford, Forest Whitaker, Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson.

Recruiting big-name celebrities to test out different Alexa technologies, this is Amazon’s fourth consecutive Super Bowl ad promoting Alexa.

The 90-second ad, released on Wednesday, shows Alexa malfunctioning in places she doesn’t belong.

An employee commented in the ad: “We are putting her in a lot of stuff now,”

“But trust me, there are a lot of fails”.

The “failures” include putting Alexa into Forest Whitaker’s electric toothbrush, the collar of Harrison Ford’s dog, and the hot tub of Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson.

There was also the “incident” where Alexa switched off the power of the entire Earth.

The ad, which was created by Amazon’s internal creative team and Lucky Generals, will air in the second half of the game.
