Amanda Unwin Takes On New Role At Southern Cross Austereo

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced the appointment of Amanda Unwin as its head of agency sales for Sydney.

Currently a group sales manager for SCA’s agency sales team in the harbour city, this new role will give Unwin responsibility for national budgets across digital, metro, regional and syndicated radio sales, heading up a team of 35 people.

Unwin was previously the group sales manager at Authentic Entertainment, and also worked as an account manager at The Australian Radio Network and SCA when it was known as Austereo.

SCA’s head of radio sales for Sydney, Carla Vella, said Unwin is one of the best in the business and is well respected across the industry and amongst her peers at SCA.

“She has a solid understanding of the Sydney market and our partners would agree that her long-standing career in media has come through a genuine desire to deliver insight-led solutions for clients,” she said.

“Amanda is a great leader and I am excited about what she will bring to the role.”

Commenting on her appointment, Unwin said she is thrilled to be taking on the new role.

“I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to lead a team of talented individuals as they continue to provide our agency partners and clients with market-leading, insight-led ideation,” she said.

“Since joining the business in 2008, I have never felt more excited about the leadership, content strategy and vision for our business.

“We’re a team on a path of accelerated growth and I can’t wait to lead a group of people who pride themselves on delivering exceptional results for their clients.”
