Adshel Nabs Clear Channel International Sales Director

Outdoor advertising provider Adshel has appointed David Roddick to lead its Australia and New Zealand sales teams.

David joins on September 15, with the goal of driving revenue across Adshel’s national network of products including new digital, mobile and interactive offerings.

Previously International Sales Director for Adshel shareholder Clear Channel International (CCI), David brings with him a wealth of global outdoor best practice. Prior to CCI, David spent 12 years with News International’s brands The Sun, Today and the News of the World.

In 2001 he became general manager of News Group Digital, News International’s online business.More recently, David was group commercial director at Northcliffe Media, the local publishing arm of Daily Mail and General Trust.

David will report directly into Adshel’s CEO Rob Atkinson, and will sit on the company’s Executive Leadership Team. All other current reporting lines will remain unchanged.

Roddick said he was excited about the opportunity for Adshel’s growth potential.

“New technology is changing out-of-home media dramatically, and I’m looking forward to joining Adshel to help steer the fortunes of a dynamic organisation at very forefront of that change,” he said.

“Advertisers across the globe are increasingly looking to align their campaigns with a data-driven strategic approach, and Adshel have been working tirelessly over the last few years to meet those needs.

“This is an extremely exciting time to join such a forward thinking and agile media brand,” he added.

Adshel’s CEO Rob Atkinson welcomed David as a permanent member of the executive team.

“We’ve been working with David as part of CCI for two years, and I’m really excited about the unique combination of refined commercial acumen and down-to-earth intuition he can bring to our business,” he said.

“His strategic approach and depth of customer focus means we will be getting a world class leader to continue our years of record sales growth,” he added.
