Adap.tv, a division of AOL Platforms, today announced the appointment of Yasmin Sanders as senior director of programmatic TV, based in Sydney, effective immediately.

In her new role leading the Programmatic TV Group in Australia, she will help to build the Programmatic TV advertising marketplace with MCN, and develop adoption of the platform with new broadcasters, promoting the benefits to the agency and brand community.

Yasmin has over 13 years experience in traditional TV.  She made the move after seven years at Network TEN, where she headed the sales systems & operations team. She also worked for more than four years at Multi Channel Network in sales, training and development.

“It was essential for the success of programmatic TV to attract someone with a strong heritage in TV systems, understanding the nuances of the industry, whilst also being curious around the technology. In Yasmin we found it all”, says Mitch Waters, Australian Managing Director for Adap.tv.

Last year Adap.tv announced plans to pilot the industry’s first integrated programmatic private marketplace for TV, working with Multi Channel Network (MCN). The deal will see linear television inventory available for purchase through programmatic channels, enabling advertising clients to use more data to focus TV buys on highly targeted audiences.

In her new role Yasmin will assist in the implementation of the MCN solution, whilst promoting the benefits to the wider TV industry.

“The traditional supplier relationship is constantly evolving, bringing more complexities and opportunities. Technology is taking us into new territory – we are at the precipice of the programmatic TV revolution – and we need to share the journey,” said Mitch.
