Final room reveals on The Block: Fans v Faves proved more riveting than under-cooked lamb dramas in Seven’s My Kitchen Rules last night as Nine’s reality offering won Sunday night.

The Block: Fans v Faves was Sunday evening’s most watched program with 1.732 million fans tuning in, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

My Kitchen Rules was in second place on 1.570 million.

Nine won the night overall with a total 35.3% share of all free-to-air viewers with 27.5% going to the network’s primary channel.

Seven was in second place on a combined 33% with 26.5% for its main channel.

Fellow commercial network Ten’s share was low. The network’s total share was 12.5% but only 5.9% of that came from the network’s primary channel. Five per cent was thanks to its secondary channel ONE which had one top 20 program last night with live broadcast of the FIA Formula One World Championship pulling in 375,000 viewers.

Ten’s only other top 20 shows were Ten Eyewitness News (473,000) and Elementary (380,000).

Nine’s 60 Minutes (1.424 million) was the night’s third most watched show and beat Seven’s Sunday Night (1.185 million).

Seven’s Downton Abbey (1.095 million) did beat Nine’s local drama Fat Tony & Co which had its best ratings in four weeks with 1.036 million viewers. The result is up by 72,000 viewers on last week’s episode.

The ABC was third overall with a total 15.2% share of all FTA viewers. ABC1 won 11.2%.

SBS sat in last place on a combined 4% with 3.1% of that going to SBS ONE.
