Stephenson takes up CEO reins at Aegis creative services

BREAKING: Aegis Media has appointed David Stephenson (pictured) as new CEO for its creative services businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

The move in an expansion of his former role as managing director of Aegis Media’s digital creative division.

Aegis Media’s creative services division employs over 250 staff across five businesses, with Stephenson now set to lead digital creative agencies Visual Jazz Isobar and Rodeo, content creation and amplification agency The StoryLab, innovation and business transformation consultancy Jumptank and social media agency The Social Hatch.

He will also take on leadership of Jumptank from Kristian Barnes who has been appointed to the role of APAC CEO for Aegis Media business, Vizeum.

Luke Littlefield, CEO of Aegis Media ANZ, said: “Over the past year, we have been incubating a number of new businesses focussed on bringing to life products and services relevant to our clients in this convergent environment. The further bringing together of our digital creative capabilities with content curation, technology and innovation supercharges our entire creative services offering.

He’s been an industry innovator and leader for many years, with unrivalled experience working for some of Australia’s most well-known creative agencies and, of course, co-founding leading digital creative Agency Visual Jazz.”

Stephenson added: “I’m pretty lucky to be working with an awesome group of ‘like-minded’ people who want to be producing brilliant work. I intend to add to this by pulling this team’s many talents closer together to really challenge ourselves as a group, learn from each other and explore new areas of growth which, ultimately, will add to a whole new level of value to all our clients.”
